Soil Dynamics

This course is designed specifically for farmers and anyone wanting to improve their understanding of the ways in which the physical properties of soil influence response to fertiliser application, water retention and drainage – and ultimately, crop performance.

Increasingly, farmers are looking at the ways in which they manage their soils in order to reduce nutrient leakage, assist the processes which prevent carry-over of crop residues and generally improve the productive capacity of their soils.

The course provides an excellent insight into the cause and effect of many of the soil related problems that currently exist and illustrates the best ways of dealing with them.
